Why is it better?
Did you know that chickens raised on pasture have been found to be higher in Omega 3s (up to 3x), and to have a lower ratio of Omega 6:3, they carry more iron, as well as higher densities of antioxidants like Vitamin E.
In the U.S., one out of three adults is obese. And even in individuals with a healthy body weight, poor diet increases the risk of heart disease, as well as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis. Pasture-raised chickens and their eggs are some simple foods to create a healthy diet, and a healthy family.

Our Philosophy
Our goal at O’Kelly Family Farms is to be good stewards of our farm and to raise food that creates healthy humans. We take great care to enrich the ecosystem of our land with our livestock. How do we do this? We achieve it through proper land management and caring animal husbandry. Our livestock are never forced to live in lagoons of mud and waste, by using a variety of species and intentional rotations of the animals we are able to offer cleaner environments and healthier soil which enriches the land. Consequently, we are able to avoid sickness and the need for antibiotics ensuring the cleanest possible meat for you and your family.
